Jennifer Lopez Steps Out For Charity

Jennifer Lopez Steps Out For Charity

Looking oh-so fabulous, Jennifer Lopez lit up the room during a grand reception held at the Denver Art Museum on Wednesday (August 27).

The "El Cantante" sweetheart wore a sexy red ensemble with heels as she posed on the red carpet alongside fellow attendees including Fran Drescher, Xavier Becerra and Bill Richardson, among others.

The invitation-only event was sponsored by The Jennifer Lopez Foundation, with the 39-year-old singer/actress teaming up with Viacom, CauseCast and Capitol File magazine in honoring the founder of the Children’s Defense Fund, Marian Wright Edelman.

A great cause, CDF is "a research and advocacy group that tries to ensure every child a healthy start, a head start, a fair start, a safe start, and a moral start in life and successful passage to adulthood with the help of caring families and communities."

Hilary Duff: Out in LA

Hilary Duff: Out in LA

Taking full advantage of the beautiful southern California weather earlier today, Hilary Duff was spotted out and about all by her lonesome.

The “So Yesterday” songstress donned a beige striped tank top layered over a white tank top with a pair of jeans and sneakers as she made her way to a friend’s house.

And after a brief visit, Miss Duff hopped back into her car and headed to her gym for an intense workout before heading back home.

And it’s a good thing Hilary is keeping her activity level high- she’ll need plenty of endurance when her new films “Foodfight,” “Stay Cool,” “Greta,” and “Safety Glass” start hitting theaters.

Pitt and Clooney Premiere "Burn After Reading"

Pitt and Clooney Premiere 'Burn After Reading'

After a rousing arrival via luxury boat earlier today for their photo call, Brad Pitt and George Clooney traded in their suits for tuxedos on their way to the 2008 Venice Film Festival premiere of “Burn After Reading.”

The “Oceans Eleven” co-stars were accompanied by directors Ethan and Joel Coen, as well as co-stars Frances McDormand and Tilda Swinton to the Sala Grande.

And while the lucky audiences at the Venice Film Festival get to see “Burn After Reading” a bit early, the rest of us will have to wait until it hits theaters September 12th.

Last night, George and Brad teamed up to raise some serious money for their Not On Our Watch charity, which raises awareness and provides funding to help alleviate global atrocities.

Madonna Irks John McCain

Madonna Irks John McCain

Last night, Madonna took her Sticky and Sweet tour to Nice, France for a sold-out performance that included more than just music and dancing.

It seems the 50-year-old songstress has been creating some waves on the political front with her concert’s opening video montage that compares Presidential Candidate John McCain with Adolph Hitler and President of Zimbabwe Robert Mugabe.

And McCain’s people are calling such comparisons, “outrageous, unacceptable, and crudely divisive all at the same time.” McCain’s spokesman Tucker Bounds told press, "The comparisons are outrageous, unacceptable and crudely divisive all at the same time.”

He continued, "It clearly shows that when it comes to supporting Barack Obama, his fellow worldwide celebrities refuse to consider any smear or attack off limits."

Barack Obama’s people also slammed the video saying, "These comparisons are outrageous and offensive and have no place in the political process. We hope that John McCain will offer a similar condemnation as his allies increasingly practice sleazy swift boat tactics."
