Continuing to live it up in Las Vegas, Britney Spears and her entourage spent their Labor Day by the main pool area of the Mirage Hotel and Casino on Monday (September 1).

Showing off her bikini body for the second day in a row, the "Gimme More" singer and her pals headed to a private cabana sunbathing area reserved for Britney - proceeding to stretch out on some lounge chairs in between chats by the bar area.

And according to FOX Pop Tarts' Hollie McKay, Miss Spears may have a surprise in store for the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards, coming up this September 7th at 9:00pm.

McKay reports that Spears will have her very own dressing room at the venue, sparking speculation that she may be on the card to do more than just hand out an award.

The performance rumors follow denials by Brit's manager, Larry Rudolph, who said: "Contrary to media reports, Britney was never slated to perform at this year's VMAs. She's in the middle of recording her next album, which is going amazingly well, and her focus remains on the studio."

She’s in a bitter battle with her father, and it appears as if Lindsay Lohan let their grudge get in the way of her willingness to attend her late grandfather’s funeral.

The “Mean Girls” actress was spotted out shopping and walking the streets of Soho with a guy friend on Monday (September 1), skipping her grandfather's services in Long Island.

LiLo’s grandpa passed away last Thursday after battling cancer, her father Michael Lohan told press last week.

Continuing to spend Labor Day weekend with family, Miley Cyrus was spotted out in Burbank on Monday (September 1) with her mother, Leticia, and sister, Noah.

The Cyrus ladies first grabbed a juice at Robeks before making their way to a nearby music studio, where Miley offered up the peace sign as her little sis proudly showed off her new love bird.

Meanwhile, Miley recently received kind words from director Brett Ratner, who helped create the video for her hit song "7 Things".

"She reminded me a lot of Madonna," Ratner told press. "And I hate saying that, but what I mean is that like Madonna, she can be hanging out and laughing, and then you put the camera on her and it's like, 'Holy s***!'"

"It was the hardest video I've ever edited because every moment was great," he continued. "Every moment that she was on camera, she was amazing. She's got an incredible quality about her. Her instincts are great. She has great charisma and personality."

Loving every moment of her time out scouring the racks during the Labor Day sales, Hilary Duff made a solo shopping trip near her home in Los Angeles on Monday (September 1).

According to AP reports, "RocknRolla is set in London's criminal underworld and features property scams and Russian mobsters. Ritchie wrote and directed the film, which is seen as his make or break movie following his last two efforts Swept Away and Revolver."

And if all goes well, it wouldn't be surprising to see a sequel in the near future, as Guy tells: "If people go and see this and like it I'll make the second one straight away. It's the kind of film I like. I've made a film for me. My inspiration came from the fact that London has changed so much in the last 10 years."

Out splurging on a belated birthday shopping spree, Cameron Diaz was spotted picking through the racks of designer duds at Barney's New York in Beverly Hills on Sunday (August 31).

The now 36-year-old "Shrek" sweetheart's actual birthday was on Saturday (August 30), so Miss Diaz may just possibly have had a few gift certificates to use up.
